GLASS NORTHAMPTON LTD are stockists and suppliers of a wide range of glass products to the construction industry and to domestic customers.
Glass or mirrors requiring additional processing such as cutting to shape, drilling, edge polishing, bevelling, or other treatment, are dealt with by our experienced glass technicians in our own works. For very specialised work, we maintain a tried and tested network of suppliers within the glass industry to ensure that our customers receive the very best products available.
Laminated safety glass is stocked in our works in thicknesses from 6.4mm to 10.8mm, and this glass may be cut to size for same day delivery; toughened safety glass is supplied in thicknesses from 4mm to 25mm within a few working days. Please check our pages on safety glass for further information on this range of products. All our safety glasses meet the requirements of BS6206 and European Standard BS EN 1279.
We are suppliers of sealed double glazing units for all purposes, and we comply with L1B of building regulations which became a legal requirement on 1st October 2010.
Glazing services
Our glazing services are used and trusted by a broad range of clients in the public and private sectors, including major construction companies, local authorities, schools, hospitals and police authorities. In addition, we offer an efficient maintenance and repair service to the domestic sector, including all types of glass replacement and safety upgrading, and replacement of seal-failed insulating glass units.
We carry out risk assessments for glass and glazing in the home and in the workplace where there are Health and Safety concerns, and contract to upgrade glazing in these areas to the required standard where necessary. We can also assess both domestic and commercial premises where there are considerations of solar control, thermal insulation, or noise control, and advise on upgrades using the high-performance insulating glass units available today.
We also have vast experience in the field of film application to glazing, when issues of privacy, safety, or solar control are concerned.
We maintain stocks of glazing sealants and materials so that the glass products may be correctly installed into various frame systems, and our staff is at your disposal for any technical advice our customers may need on this important subject.
